Panel moulding is a purely decorative moulding used to trim raised-panel wall construction. The finish can be a primer, a semi-transparent stain, a semi-solid stain, a solid stain or solid paint. With our process, all sides (face, back, edges and ends) of the material are coated. Sand every contour and flat area in the direction of the grain with a combination of medium-grit sanding sponges and pads. When necessary, fold 120-grit paper to get into tight cracks. This includes specialty finishings.

Mouldings may be prefinished to match the rest of your order. We finish both the face and back of the mouldings. Eight foot stock and custom pieces will be shipped 94” to 97” in length. Solid wood mouldings are available in two grades: “Prime” and “Choice”, as specified below. Remove all traces of residual cleaner by wiping the trim with a sponge and water.

Sand the trim with a 180-grit sanding. Allow the trim to dry.
